LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT
I hope that the May flowers are blooming in your life!
They continue to flourish in many aspects of TEW and I forecast that they
will not fade because we have such an
incredible board and wonderful members involved in TEW that will keep
them alive forever!
We had an excellent meeting in April and greatly appreciate
Ms. Beth Williams, President of TechTrans International, Inc., and her
commitment to make our meeting successful. Beth shared her incredible
story and described her journey to success. It is truly an honor to have
such wonderful leaders in our communities involved in our organization.
Past President, Diane Finch, was also honored at the
meeting for the awesome contribution that she made last year to TEW. The
following are only a few of the successes that were accomplished under
Diane's leadership:
- Electronic distribution of the newsletter. Yea, we are now
in the 21st century!
- Our first fundraiser in many years was successfully conducted!
- Funds were distributed to new outreach projects for women and
children!
- Another successful Women on the
Move® was accomplished!
Diane, we sincerely appreciate your hard work and dedication
to TEW. I only hope that we can continue your efforts.
This is our 20th year anniversary for Women on the Move®
and I am excited to announce that we will contribute $20, 000 in scholarships
to our very own students that qualify! This could not have been timelier!
We are now accepting your requests for contributions to various organizations
and charities in the community. Please submit your proposal in writing
at your earliest convenience as the board will be distributing remaining
funds only to local organizations that benefit women and young girls and
have a similar mission. You may send your requests via email: dlbalin@balinfinancial.com
or fax: 281 778-7994.
I hope to see you all at the next meeting. Your attendance
and participation in TEW is vital and will only make our organization
a success. We welcome back all guests that attended and hope that you
will inquire further into becoming a member.
Remember
take time to smell the flowers and be
part of something big!
Get involved with Texas Executive Women!
Truly,

The Career Women of the
Future. at Westbury High School,
received expert advise on Budgeting, Credit Management and
Goal Setting from Gwethalyn Brooks,
Vice President, JPMorgan Chase Bank in
April.
Ears perked up when the topic of shopping entered
the mix. Each of the TEW Mentors shared a personal story of a past
money management challenge.
This was the last session of this school year
for the girls held at Westbury. We're very proud of all the girls
who made the commitment to the program this year. We finished the
year with 31 young ladies.

As is evident by our smiling faces, we get as
much from this as do the Westbury students.
