LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT
Greetings to everyone, as the summer is coming to an end. The Summer Serenade to benefit the operating fund of TEW will be held on August 17 th at 7:00 P.M. at the Hallmark. The music will be great and Shannon Perry and the quartet from HSPVA are planning a wonderful evening for you. In addition, the staff at the Hallmark is planning a great Champagne Reception. Please R.S.V.P. to 713-785-6481 and bring guests. The limit is 120 guests. We need more news about the members. Forward any news about you or other members to Cay Dickson at ocayd@ocay.com . In addition if you have ideas for speakers or programs, please contact Jeann Howse at jbhowse@sbcglobal.net . Mary Ann Collier will send out a membership survey soon. Please fill it out, as we need your input to plan for the future of the organization. The Women on the Move Luncheon® will be October 20th , 2005, at the Intercontinental Hotel. We have great honorees. Margo Snider and committee are working very hard to make another very successful event. We hope that you will respond and purchase tickets and tables. The mentoring programs will start a new year in August when school starts. If you want to become involved, please contact Beth Ann Scher at scherstv@pdg.net . . We will be selling tickets for the beautiful gift basket at the monthly meeting, the Summer Serenade and Women on the Move® Luncheon. The price for the tickets is $5.00 for one or $20.00 for five. The next President's Dinner will be on September 21st , 2005. If you would like to attend, contact me at bberube@blbconsulting.com . I have visited with new and old members at these dinners and I have learned so much about each one. One of my long time professional friends and colleagues, says, “You would not be where you are, if you had not been where you were.” I try to remember that and learn from the experiences.
