LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT
What a great year for TEW ! I want to thank the membership for allowing me to be President. I have enjoyed each moment of the time and have met so many of you and learned so much about you. The Board of Directors has been great to work with. We have a great organization and I know that we will continue to grow and make a difference in the lives of the girls and women that we support. As the Holiday Season approaches, I want to wish each of you great times and peace. Thank each of you for the support of Women on the Move®. It was a great turnout and the generosity from individuals and corporations raised over The Nominating Committee has prepared a slate of officers for the 2006 year. Please vote for the new board when you receive the ballot. The results of the Member Survey will be released soon and I thank all of you that answered the survey. Sheridan Scott has planned the Christmas Social. It will be at the Houston Club on December13th, 2005. You and a guest are invited. The socials are a great opportunity to get to know the members. Invitations have been sent to members. We need more news about the members. Forward any news about you or other members to Cay Dickon at ocayd@ocay.com . Remember that the member that brings the most guests to the monthly meetings will receive a free membership for 2007. Beverly Kaufman is the winner for 2006. Happy Holidays. We did not change, as we grew older; we just became more clearly ourselves. - Lynn Hall

MEMO ON MEMBERSHIP2005 Report – Mamie Moy, VP, Membership This has been a most enjoyable year for me as VP for membership. Being an optimist, I started off with a goal of 20 new members, only to have three as of the end of December. Of course, I would like to take credit for the ten new members who are Class of 2005 WOM. A program was announced and implemented in March to boost the meeting attendance. The program was a very simple – the member bringing the cumulative largest number of guests to the 2005 monthly meetings has her 2006 dues waived. The average meeting attendance has been 20 members and 4 guests. All who attended thoroughly enjoyed the speakers, making and renewing friends. TEW looks forward to another year of increasing its membership and furthering the mission and vision of the organization. |

TEW MENTORING PROGRAM
Ladies of Excellence at Aldine Ninth Grade School - Community Service email Mrs. Holt, on November 20, Ms. Carter Terry and I took about 18 L.O.E. girls to the Cherokke Nation public educational event. The girls earned 10 hours by selling raffle tickets, serving food and provided general help. The girls had a great experience. They learned things about the Cherokees that they did not know. They were great. - From one of their teachers at Aldine |
